BEDMINSTER, N.J. – The Omaha women's golf team is in 13th place after the first round of the Pirate Invitational hosted by Seton Hall.
The Mavericks posted a team score of 374 at the Trump National Golf Course. South Dakota State leads after shooting a score of 326. Lamar is second at 336, and Seton Hall is third at 341.
Samantha Chong led the Mavericks with a score of 89 that has her in a tie for 25th overall. Haley Wineman is second on the team and tied for 50th after shooting a round of 93.
Jordan York sits one stroke back at 94, putting her in a tie for 55th while Sami Langford shot 98 to sit in a tie for 69.
Mandy Boyle completed the scoring with a round of 99, putting her 72nd.
The final round begins at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday, delayed one hour due to anticipated frost. It will be the final round of the fall season for the Mavericks.
