Softball Announces Winter Camp

OMAHA, Neb. ā The Omaha softball program and head coach D.J. Sanchez has announced the date for its Winter Elite Camp.

The camp will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, and the cost of the camp will be $100 and open to players currently in grades 8 through 12.

The camp will offer advanced, position specific training from the UNO coaching staff while providing an opportunity to showcase the campers' talent in a competitive environment. The first session will focus on high level fundamentals of the game, in a fast paced defensive and offensive segment. Pitchers and catchers will also have the opportunity to work on advanced skills before returning in the afternoon for a competitive scrimmage, with in game instruction.

Camp participants are instructed to bring all necessary softball equipment (bats, helmets, glove and tennis shoes), while catchers should bring their own gear including shin guards, chest protectors and masks.

All of our camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, and/or grade level.
