
Omaha to Compete in 2017 Emerald Coast Classic

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha men's basketball team is one of eight teams that will compete in the 2017 Destin Realty Emerald Coast Classic next November, Global Sports announced Thursday.
In addition to Omaha, participating teams include Maryland, New Mexico, TCU, St. Bonaventure, Jackson State, Maryland-Eastern Shore and Tennessee Tech.
First- and second-round games will be played at campus sites Nov. 11-21, 2017, with the third round and championship round scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 24-25, at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Fla.
CBS Sports Network has been the television sponsor for the Emerald Coast Classic for the past three seasons.
Omaha is currently 3-4 on the season and visits Iowa this Saturday, Dec. 3. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa, and the game will be broadcast live on BTN Plus.
