Mavericks Ranked 12th in Weekly Polls

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team moved very little in the latest college hockey polls released on Monday.
The Mavericks remained 12th in the latest top-20 poll from USCHO.com while they dropped one spot to 12th in the top-15 poll released by USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine.
Omaha is coming off a split of two games at Colorado College last weekend. The Mavericks lost the first game, 5-1, before rebounding for a 6-1 win in the finale. UNO is now 16-9-1 overall and 6-9-1-0/0 in the NCHC, putting it in a tie with Minnesota Duluth and Miami for fourth place.
North Dakota remains the NCHC's top-ranked team, coming in second in both polls while St. Cloud State maintained its position at third in both. Denver is 13th in both polls, and Minnesota Duluth is receiving votes in both rankings.
The Mavericks are off until Feb. 12-13 when they begin a six-game home stand by hosting Western Michigan.
