Mavericks Ranked 13th In Latest Polls

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team comes in 13th in both major college hockey polls this week.
The ranking marks a drop of one spot in the USCHO.com top-20 poll and a dip of two spots in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top-15 poll.
The Mavericks were swept at home by No. 3/3 St. Cloud State last weekend, losing 4-1 and 6-3. Omaha is now 18-11-1 overall and 8-11-1-0/0 in the NCHC, putting it in a tie with Minnesota Duluth and Miami for fourth place.
St. Cloud State is the NCHC's highest-rated team followed by the Mavericks' next opponent, North Dakota, which is ranked fourth in both polls. Denver moved up to eight in both polls this week.
The Mavericks host UND on Senior Weekend this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27 at Baxter Arena. Both games begin at 7:07 p.m. Saturday's game will be televised live on American Sports Network.
