Roecker Earns Second Summit League Weekly Award

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha freshman pitcher Laura Roecker has been named the Summit League Pitcher of the Week for her performance during the week of March 21-27. Roecker earned her second weekly award by picking up a win and a save in Friday's doubleheader against IUPUI.
In Friday's first game, Rocker pitched her eighth complete game to improve to 7-9 on the season. She finished the game allowing two runs on four hits while walking two and striking out three. In the second game of the doubleheader, she retired the Jaguars in order in the seventh to earn her first career save.
Omaha is now 14-19 overall and 2-0 in Summit League play. The Mavericks return to action this weekend with a three-game set against IPFW in Fort Wayne, Ind. The series opens with a doubleheader on Saturday with game one set for 9:30 a.m. (CT) and game two set for 11:30 a.m. (CT). The series will wrap up with a single game on Sunday starting at 10 a.m.
