Mavericks 17th In USCHO.com Poll

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha hockey team is ranked 17th in the latest poll from USCHO.com.
The Mavericks are not ranked in the nation's other poll, the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine top-15 poll, but they are receiving votes. It's the first time they've been unranked in that poll this season, and their ranking in the USCHO.com poll is also their lowest in that survey.
Omaha is coming off 3-0 and 2-1 losses at Denver to close the regular season last weekend. The Mavericks have lost six straight, their longest losing streak of the season, and are 18-15-1 overall.
UNO finished the NCHC regular season with a record of 8-15-1-0/0, putting it in sixth place and setting up a first-round playoff matchup with Denver which finished in third. The two schools will play Friday, Saturday and Sunday, if necessary, March 11-13 at Denver, Colo.
North Dakota remains the NCHC's top ranked team. The Penrose Cup winner is second in both polls while St. Cloud State is in fifth and Denver is in sixth. Minnesota Duluth is ranked 20th in the USCHO.com poll and 15th in the USA Today poll.
