Shaw Named to Summit League All-Tournament Team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Mikaela Shaw has been named to the 2016 Summit League All-Tournament team for her strong performance in the event, it was announced Tuesday.
The five-member team included Shaw, South Dakota guards Nicole Seekamp and Kelly Stewart, and South Dakota State guards Madison Guebert and Macy Miller. Miller was named the tournament's most valuable player as the sophomore averaged 18.3 points and seven rebounds during the tournament.
Omaha played in two games during the tournament, including winning its first ever postseason game in the Division I era. Shaw, the only player on the All-Tournament team not to appear in the championship game, averaged a team-best 19 points per game during the tournament, adding six rebounds three assists, and two steals. The junior forward was 12-of-28 overall from the field and averaged 35 minutes per game.
During the season, Shaw played in 30 games, averaging a Summit League-best 18.3 points, hitting 51.9 percent from the field with 7.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Shaw scored 20-plus points 12 times this season while scoring in double digits in every game. The first-team All-Summit League honoree recorded 11 double-doubles this season.
