Lange Signs Fisher to NLI for 2016-17

OMAHA, Neb. ā Guard Alexa (Lexy) Fisher has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Omaha women's basketball program in 2016-17, head coach Brittany Lange announced Wednesday.
Fisher, a 5-9 guard from Powell, Ohio, played for Coach Sam Krafty at Olentangy Liberty High School and helped the Patriots to a 20-4 mark in 2016.Ā After averaging 13.9 points per game as a senior, Fisher was honored as First Team All-Delaware County, Second Team All-Central District and earned Honorable Mention as an All-Ohio player in Division I girls basketball by the Associated Press.Ā She became the first player in school history to score over 1,000 points and owns the program's career records in points, assists, steals, and three-pointers.Ā Fisher also set the school single game record with six three-pointers in a game.Ā She has been selected to play in the Ohio High School Basketball Association Northwest All-Star game.
As a junior, Fisher averaged 16.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 3.6 steals.Ā She was voted second-team all-state for helping lead Olentangy Liberty to its first Ohio Capital Conference Cardinal Division championship and Division I district championship.Ā Fisher was named OCC-Central Division Player of the Year and was honored as first-team all-conference, all-county, and all-district and was named to the Columbus Dispatch Metro All-Star Team.Ā Additionally, Fisher played AAU ball for the Dayton Lady Hoopstars.
