Mavs Game with IPFW Suspended Due to Weather

OMAHA, Neb. – Today's softball game between Omaha and IPFW has been suspended in the top of the seventh inning due to weather.
At the time of the suspension, the Mavericks were leading the Mastodons by a 10-6 margin on the strength of two Sydney Hames home runs and a two-run shot from Kourtney Pock. Omaha had Nicole Warren on third base and Hames on second when the game was stopped. IPFW relief pitcher Demitra Burns was about to pitch to Campbell Ditto with no outs in the top of the seventh.
The two teams resume play Sunday morning at 10 a.m. (CT) at the point of suspension. Following the completion of Saturday's game, Omaha and IPFW will then play the regularly schedule doubleheader.
