Mavericks Finish Eighth at Summit Championship

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team took eighth place at the Summit League Championship on Wednesday at ArborLinks.

The Mavericks shot a final round team score of 328 in wet and blustery conditions to finish at 974 for the 54-hole tournament. Denver repeated as Summit champion with a score of 878. South Dakota State was the runner up at 930, and Oral Roberts and North Dakota State tied for third at 935.

Megan Vetrovsky was UNO's leading scorer for the championship, finishing at 231 after a final round score of 78. She tied for 11th in the 45-player field.

Katie Kesti and Jordan York tied for second on the team and 33rd overall with scores of 249. Kesti closed the tournament with a round of 82 while York carded an 88.

Mandy Boyle was fourth for UNO and tied for 35th overall with a score of 250 that included a third-round score of 80. Makenna Kroeker finished the scoring for UNO with a final round of 94 that put her at 259, good for 42nd place.
