Omaha Announces 2016 Summer Camp in Mankato

We invite you and welcome players of all ages to join us in breaking down the mechanics of hitting, fielding, and throwing as well as learning, developing, and sharpening various skill areas of the game.
The University of Nebraska Omaha head coach Jeanne Tostenson-Scarpello and a former player will host a softball camp offering instruction over hitting and defensive fundamentals.
Age groups will be divided into separate days. Hitting and defense will consist of a series of fundamental drills that are practiced by the UNO softball team daily. Each drill will simplify the targeted skill area and promote optimal efficiency and performance.

DESCRIPTION
- This 2016 UNO softball camp will divide age groups into separate days. A camp day will consist of a 2 ½ hour hitting session in the morning, a 1 hour lunch break, and a 2 ½ hour defensive session in the afternoon. You are responsible for lunch.
- Hitting will consist of a series of fundamental drills that are practiced by the UNO softball team daily. Each drill will simplify the swing breaking it down into its different phases to promote optimal efficiency and performance.
- Defense will consist of teaching the basic fundamentals for both infield and outfield practiced by the UNO softball team daily. This includes breaking down and simplifying the elements of throwing, glove work, and footwork to promote optimal efficiency and performance.
- Our goal is to instill in each athlete a thorough understanding of the softball fundamentals taught so that the drills are easy to replicate and growth in these skill areas can be continued individually.

- Thursday, June 16 | Ages 14-18 | Hitting 9:00a.m. – 11:30a.m. | Defense 12:30p.m. – 3:00p.m.

CANCELLATIONS: Registration fees have been rolled into the price. All but $40.00 will be refunded if you cancel (via e-mail) by 9pm on Sunday, June 5, 2016. No refunds are possible after that.
Note: The University may postpone or cancel this event due to circumstances or conditions beyond its control, such as, but not limited to, natural disasters, acts or war, acts of God, or public health emergencies. Neither party shall be liable for damages for delay or default if such delay or default is caused by circumstances or conditions beyond its control, such as, but not limited to, natural disasters, acts of war, acts of God, or health emergencies. The Parties will consult with other to determine if the event can be rescheduled. -- It is not permissible for boosters to provide expenses for individuals to attend any of the University of Nebraska Omaha Softball Camps. Expenses include T-shirt, registration fees, and camp tuition.
All of University of Nebraska Omaha Softball Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
