
Kesti Named Academic All-Summit League

ELMHURST, Ill. - Omaha senior Katie Kesti has been named to the Summit League women's golf Academic All-League Team, the second time she's earned the honor.
Kesti finished her UNO career with a 3.91 cumulative grade-point average while majoring in neuroscience. She also earned Academic All-League honors in 2014.
Kesti competed in all 30 rounds for the Mavericks, one of just two players to do so. She led the team in scoring for the second time in her career with a stroke average of 80.8 and carded seven of UNO's top-10 rounds of the season,
Kesti was UNO's top finisher in seven tournaments. She had a career-best 54-hole score of 227 at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate (Oct. 9-11). She also shot season-low rounds of 74 back-to-back at the Saluki Invitational – 36 holes (March 27-28)
The native of Red Wing, Minn. tied for second in scoring for the Mavericks at the Summit League Championship with a score of 249 (April 18-20).
Kesti finished her UNO career as the all-time leader in career rounds played (102) and ranks fifth all-time with a career scoring average of 80.65. She also ranks in a tie for second in career sub-par rounds (3).
This is Kesti's second academic honor of the year. She also was named UNO's Female Scholar-Athlete in April.
