ELMHURST, Ill. – Omaha goalkeeper Haley Shelton collected the Summit League Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award for her performance during the season-opening weekend, Aug. 19-21.

Shelton earned her first career Defensive Player of the Week award. She faced 17 shots and made eight saves in the win against UMKC.

Omaha is 1-0-0 on the season and host Creighton (Aug. 26) and North Dakota (Aug. 28).
