Mavericks To Appear Twice on CBS Sports Network

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – National television audiences will see the Omaha hockey team twice this season on CBS Sports Network. The NCHC released the full schedule of games being broadcast by its premier national television partner today.
The Mavericks will appear on CBSSN at Denver on Friday, Jan. 27 at 8:30 p.m. CT and when they host the Pioneers on Friday, March 3. The start time for the home game has been moved one-half hour later to 7:37 p.m.
The two games involving UNO will be a part of a 14-game schedule by CBSSN, now in its fourth year covering the NCHC.
All eight NCHC teams will host a nationally televised contest on CBSSN during the upcoming season. Games on CBSSN will air from 10 venues in all, with the Frozen Faceoff at Target Center once again being televised, as well as one game from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Every NCHC team will appear on CBSSN at least twice in 2016-17.
CBS Sports Network's coverage of the NCHC will occur mostly during the second half of the season, with one contest to be televised prior to the New Year. Ten of the televised games will take place on Fridays during the second half of the regular season as NCHC teams battle it out for the Penrose Cup. CBS Sports Network will also feature a pair of doubleheader telecasts during the regular season, in addition to the Frozen Faceoff semifinals.
“We look forward to another great year of NCHC hockey with college hockey's leader for TV, CBS Sports Network,” NCHC Commissioner Josh Fenton said. “CBS Sports Network has put together another fantastic schedule, leading off with the College Hockey Showdown at Madison Square Garden December 3rd and culminating with the Frozen Faceoff in March.”
Other television schedules for the NCHC will be released in the coming days and weeks. Fans can watch even more NCHC action on NCHC.tv where more than 140 NCHC games will be streamed live during the 2016-17 season.
