Men's Golf Travels To SIUE

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team returns to action at the Derek Dolenc Invitational hosted by SIUE on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 26-27.

The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and finish with 18 on Tuesday. Play begins each day at 8 a.m. from the Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill.

The Mavericks are coming off a ninth-place finish last week at the John Dallio Memorial at DePaul.

Senior Ben Maskus led Omaha finished fifth overall in the field of 75 golfers with a total score of 223. Maskus has earned top-five finishes in each of the Mavericks' two tournaments this fall.

Senior Mitch Ryan was second for the Mavericks and 36th overall with a score of 235, and Kevin Gordon was third on the team and tied for 46th overall at 238.

Freshman Kelly Brown shot a score of 243 to finish fourth for the Mavericks and 61st overall.

Sam Musch completed the scoring with a a total of 250. He was 70th overall.

Following play at SIUE, Omaha will compete at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate at UMKC on Oct. 3-4.
