Final Results

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Omaha men's golf team finished in a tie for 11th at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate on Tuesday.

The Mavericks fired a team score of 315 over the final 18 holes at the Milburn Country Club to tie Northern Iowa at 918. Grand Canyon won the event at 871, six strokes ahead of host UMKC. South Dakota was third at 878.

David Huxham led the Mavericks in scoring and was tied for 35th overall with a score of 226. He shot 80 in the final round and was three strokes ahead of Kevin Gordon who shot 77 in round three for a total of 229. Gordon finished in a tie for 46th.

Sam Musch was third for UNO and tied for 54th overall with a total of 230 that included a final round of 79.

Kelly Brown carded an 80 on Tuesday for a total score of 234. That put him in a tie for 59th. Bank Chantrakantanond closed out the scoring with a round of 79 that put him at 236 for the tournament.

The Mavericks finish the fall season at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate hosted by Old Dominion on Sunday – Tuesday, Oct. 22-24 in Powells Point, N.C.
