Mavericks To Tee Off at UMKC

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team is in action this week at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate hosted by UMKC on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 9-10.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at the Milburn Country Club in Raymore, Mo.
Kevin Gordon and David Huxham each finished in the top 10 as the Mavericks took fifth in their last tournament, the Zach Johnson Invitational at Drake.
Gordon closed the 54-hole event with a score of 218, five over par, which was good for fourth in the field of 68 golfers. Huxham posted a total of 221, eight over par, to finish in a tie for seventh.
As a team, the Mavericks put up a score of 896, the ninth-best 54-hole team score in school history. They shot 292 in round three which tied for the eighth-best round in school history.
Sam Musch finished at 229, tying him with teammate Bank Chantrakantanond. Both players tied for 34th. Pat Ravn finished the scoring for UNO with a total of 243.
Kelly Brown, playing as an individual, posted a score of 225, good for a tie for 18th.
The Mavericks finish the fall season at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate hosted by Old Dominion in North Carolina on Sunday-Tuesday, Oct. 22-24.
