Jordan Named NCHC Offensive Player of Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sophomore forward Zach Jordan has been named the NCHC Offensive Player of the Week.
Jordan led the Mavericks in scoring last weekend, earning two goals and an assist to help them sweep Northern Michigan. It is his first career player of the week award.
On Friday, Jordan scored UNO's third goal as part of a three-goal outburst in the second to power the Mavericks to a 4-3 win. He finished the game with a +1 rating and had one blocked shot.
The following night, the native of Collinsville, Ill. scored a breakaway goal, UNO's fourth of the game, and also had the primary assist on Luke Nogard's game winner in a 4-1 win. He finished that game with a +1 rating. For the weekend, Jordan scored on two of his three shots and nearly doubled his career point totals.
The Mavericks return to action this weekend when they host No. 2/2 St. Cloud State on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-2.
