
Mavericks Fourth After Day Two of League Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Omaha swimming & diving team continued its efforts Thursday at the 2017 Summit League Championships at IU Natatorium. Following the second day of competition, the Mavericks sit in fourth place in the team standings with 200 points.
For the second consecutive day, Omaha earned a bronze medal. Senior Morgan Stepp won the hardware with her season-best time in the 200 IM (2:03.51). The Parker, Colo., native also earned a season-low time in the 100 fly, finishing at 55.79.
The 200 free relay foursome of juniors Cassie Jahn and Tiril Jensen, freshman Brook Landt and sophomore Kirsten Kracke swam to a fifth-place finish in the event, using a season-best time of 1:35.69.
Omaha races ahead to day three of the Summit League Championships on Friday, Feb. 17. Prelims are slated to begin at 9 a.m. CT. Live stats can be accessed through the "Meet Mobile" app, available through the App Store and on Androids.
