
Mavericks Seventh After Day One in Alabama

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Omaha women's golf team sits in seventh place after the first round of the Bama Beach Bash hosted by Alabama Birmingham and South Alabama.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 317 in the first of three rounds at the Gulf Shores Golf Course. West Florida leads with a score of 302, followed by West George at 303. UAB is third at 308.
Megan Vetrovsky shot a team-best score of 74 to put her in a tie for seventh in the field of 49 golfers.
Jordan York is second for UNO and tied for 25th with a score of 80. That puts her one stroke ahead of teammate Samantha Chong. Her round of 81 has her in a tie for 31st.
Sami Langford shot 82 to put her in a tie for 35th while Mandy Boyle's card of 84 has her in 41st place.
The second round begins Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
