Mavericks Hold 10th Place At Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Omaha men's golf team sits 10th after the first 36 holes of the Little Rock First Tee Classic on Monday.
The Mavericks shot team scores of 295 and 304 at the Chenal Country Club for a total of 599. The team score of 295 is tied for fifth-best this season. Host Little Rock leads after the first two rounds with a score of 568. Stephen F. Austin is second at 572, and Abilene Christian is third at 581.
David Huxham led the Mavericks on day one with scores of 70 and 76 for a total of 146 that has him in a tie for 18th. His two-under par score in the first round is a career best.
Ben Maskus is one stroke behind with a score of 147 that included rounds of 72 and 75. He's tied for 25th in the field of 78 golfers.
Kevin Gordon is third on the team and tied for 44th after shooting rounds of 75 and 76 for a total of 151. Max Hellstrom put up a total of 155. He shot 78 in round one and came back with a 77 in the second round.
Sam Musch completed the scoring with a total of 163.
The final round begins Tuesday at 8 a.m.
