Mavericks Finish Eighth at Summit Championship

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Summit League Championships on Tuesday.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 317 in the final round at ArborLinks to post a 54-hole team score of 974. Denver repeated as Summit League Champions with a team score of 906. South Dakota State took second at 912, and North Dakota State was third at 945.
Megan Vetrovsky was UNO's leading scorer for the 10th time this season, finishing with a score of 237 that included a final round of 77. She finished in a tie for 16th in the field of 45 golfers from nine teams
Jordan York was second for the Mavericks and 22nd overall with a score of 240. She finished the championship with a round of 79.
Sami Langford shot a closing round of 80 to finish at 249, good for third on the team and in a tie for 33rd. Mandy Boyle carded an 81 in the third round to conclude the tournament at 250, putting her in a tie for 35th.
Samantha Chong completed the scoring for UNO with a round of 82 helped her finish at 256 for the championship.
