
Omaha Set for Friday's Summit League Semifinals

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's tennis team will be the No. 3 seed for the 2017 Summit League Men's Tennis Championship April 28-29 in Indianapolis. The Mavericks will open play against No. 2 seed Oral Roberts on Friday, April 28. First serve is set for 10 a.m. CT at the University of Indianapolis Tennis Center.
UNO ended the 2017 regular-season 8-13 overall and 2-2 in Summit League play. Freshmen Razvan Grigorescu and Nathan Reekie lead the team with double-digit singles victories. Grigorescu leads the squad with a 14-5 record. Reekie completed his initial campaign with a 10-9 mark. The doubles pairing of Grigorescu and senior Colin Buckley finished the spring 9-7 at the top doubles spot.
The winner of the Omaha/Oral Roberts match will advance to the Summit League Championship match against the winner of the Denver and IUPUI match. The championship match will be held at the West Indy Racquet Club on Saturday, April 29 at 10 a.m. CT.
