Mavericks Back In Action at Drake

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team is in action again on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 2-3 when it travels to the Zach Johnson Invitational at Drake.
The 54-hole event will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 more on Tuesday at the Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Junior Kevin Gordon led the way for the Mavericks in their last tournament at SIUE last week. Gordon finished at 216 for the 54-hole event, just three over par. He shot 68 in the final round to tie the mark he shares with Ben Maskus for second-best round in school history. He finished 15th in the field of 95 golfers.
As a team, the Mavericks shot 286 on the final day to move from 11th place to seventh. They finished with a team total of 890 which ranks seventh all-time for a 54-hole event.

Sam Musch was second for the Mavericks and tied for 39th overall with a score 225. Bank Chantrakantanond was just one stroke back at 226 to tie for 44th.
David Huxham posted a score of 229, good for a tie for 54th. Cole Christain completed the scoring with a score of 242 for the tournament.
Freshman Patrick Ravn, playing as an individual, finished at 235.
Following play at Drake, the Mavericks will travel to the Bill Ross Intercollegiate at UMKC on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 9-10.
