Randolph Earns Offensive Player of the Week Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Omaha senior left wing Jake Randolph has been named the NCHC's Offensive Player of the Week. It's the third straight week a Maverick has earned a weekly honor.
Randolph led the Mavericks with three goals and was second in team scoring with six points in a sweep of visiting Miami last weekend. On Friday, Randolph had two goals and two assists for four points in Omaha's 11-7 win. It was a career best for points in a game. He finished +1 in the game with four shots.
On Saturday, the native of Duluth, Minn. had another goal and an assist as the Mavericks completed their first NCHC sweep with a 4-3 win. He got his goal on his one shot on goal and finished even for the game. With the six-point weekend, Randolph moved into a tie for third in team scoring with 18 points and now ranks second on the team with 13 assists.
It's the third career weekly award for Randolph. In all, the Mavericks have now won five weekly awards from the conference.
Omaha is on the road this weekend to face defending national champion No. 5 Denver on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 19-20.
