Omaha Releases 2019 Baseball Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Head coach Evan Porter and the Omaha baseball team announced its 2019 schedule Wednesday, Nov. 7.
"We look forward to the upcoming 2019 season," said head coach Evan Porter. "Our challenging pre-conference weekends will prepare us well for The Summit League. Our schedule has us traveling to some historic ballparks from coast-to-coast."
Omaha opens the season with a three-game road series at Southern California Friday, Feb. 15 – Sunday, Feb. 17. The Mavericks return to the midwest for a matchup at Kansas on Wednesday, Feb. 20, before going back to the west coast to play a series of four games at Seattle from Feb. 22-24.
UNO then plays a three-game series at Savannah State from March 1-3, before a March 5 game against Nebraska in Lincoln. The Mavericks wrap up the non-conference season at Santa Clara March 8-10.
Omaha begins The Summit League season with nine straight at home. The league season begins March 15-17 with a home series against North Dakota State, followed by another home series against Purdue Fort Wayne March 22-24. The Mavericks close out the home stand at Seymour Smith Park against Western Illinois March 29-31.
An April 3 non-league against Creighton follows before the Mavericks head to South Dakota State April 5-7. Omaha continues its road stretch in Manhattan, Kan., at Kansas State April 10, before heading to Oral Roberts for a three-game series in Tulsa, Okla., April 12-14.
Omaha returns home for a matchup against Nebraska April 17, before going on the road against Purdue Fort Wayne April 19-21.
The Mavericks play their next four at home welcoming Kansas State on April 23 to Werner Park, and a home series against South Dakota State April 26-28 at Seymour Smith Park follows.
Omaha plays Creighton for the second time at TD Ameritrade Park on April 30 before a road trip to North Dakota State from May 3-5. The Mavericks play its final non-league Power Five opponent May 8, with a trip at Minnesota before a three-game road swing at Western Illinois May 10-12.
The Mavericks return to Omaha against Creighton for another matchup at TD Ameritrade Park on May 14, and follow with a home series against Oral Roberts May 16-18 at Seymour Smith Park to close out the regular season.
The Summit League Championships are scheduled for May 22-25 in Tulsa, Okla.
