Keck Named NCHC Player of Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Omaha hockey sophomore Tristan Keck has been named the NCHC Offensive Player of the Week. It is his first weekly award.
Keck led the Mavericks in scoring against Colorado College with two goals and two assists for four points. On Friday, he scored UNO's first goal and then assisted on the next two in a 4-2 win over the Tigers. He finished +2 for the game, tied for the team lead with four shots and added two blocks.
On Saturday, the native of Morris, Manitoba scored his first career shorthanded goal in a 2-2 tie. In that game he was +1 with another blocked shot. With the four-point weekend, Keck moved up to a tie for sixth in team scoring with nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points, all career highs.
The Mavericks close the regular season at No. 7 Minnesota Duluth on Friday and Saturday, March 2-3.
