OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team returns to action this weekend at the El Macero Classic hosted by UC Davis and Nevada on Friday-Sunday, April 13-15.

Play begins at 10 a.m. CT on Friday and Saturday and 9:30 a.m. CT on Sunday from the El Macero Country Club in El Macero, Calif. The Mavericks are one of 13 teams in the tournament.

Omaha is coming off a 13th-place finish at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate on April 3. The Mavericks shot a team score of 911 for the tournament.

Cole Christain led the Mavericks in scoring with a total of 225, finishing 40th in the field of 74 golfers.

David Huxham, Thirawat Chantrakantanond and Jonah Wright finished in a three-way tie for second on the team and 53rd overall at 230. Pat Ravn finished the team scoring for UNO with a score of 243.

Austin Palubeskie, playing as an individual, posted a total score of 251.

Following play in California, the Mavericks will prepare for the Summit League Championship on April 29-May 1 in Newton, Kan.
