OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team will compete for the Summit League Championship from Sunday-Tuesday, April 29-May 1 at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club in Newton, Kan.

The championship will feature 18 holes each day beginning at 8 a.m.

The Mavericks enter the tournament seventh in the Summit League with a stroke average of 303.5 in 10 events this year. UNO was picked to finish eighth in the preseason coaches' poll.

David Huxham ranks 21st in the league with a season stroke average of 76.0. Thirawat Chantrakantanond is 23rd at 77.7. They are the only two Mavericks to play in all 30 rounds this season.

UNO last played on April 13-15 at the El Macero Classic in California. The Mavericks posted a 54-hole score of 969 to finish 13th.

Jonah Wright led the Mavericks in scoring throughout the tournament, finishing with a score of 241 to earn 62nd overall in the field of 81 golfers.

Huxham and Chantrakantanond tied for second at 244, good for a tie for 66th. Cole Christain was fourth in team scoring, one stroke back at 245. He tied for 69th.

Patrick Ravn closed the scoring with a total of 249.
