OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team is back after a two week layoff, taking part in the Kansas City Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, April 9-10.
The event, hosted by UMKC, has been shortened by weather and features 18 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at the Creekmoor Golf Club in Raymore, Mo. Play begins at 1 p.m. on Monday and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The Mavericks last played on March 24-25 at the Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Ariz. UNO posted a team score of 989 in the 54-hole tournament.
Mandy Boyle led the Mavericks in scoring with a total of 243, tying for 47th in the field of 93 golfers.
Megan Vetrovsky was second on the team and finished in a tie for 59th with a score of 245. Jordan York put up a total of 251 to tie for 72nd.
Sami Langford was two strokes back at 253 for the tournament, tying for 76th. Hannah Hunke closed the scoring for the Mavericks at 266.
Following play at UMKC, the Mavericks will take part in the Summit League Championship on Sunday-Tuesday, April 23-25, at ArborLinks in Nebraska City.
