Three Mavericks Earn All-Summit Honors

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha softball team had three players earn All-Summit League honors, the conference office announced Tuesday. Senior outfielder Kelly Pattison picked up First Team All-Summit honors while junior designated player Savannah Fisher made the Second Team. Freshman outfielder/pitcher Aubrey Hacke earned Freshman of the Year accolades.
Pattison led Omaha in batting average (.414), home runs (seven), RBI (32), total bases (74), slugging percentage (.667) and on-base percentage (.454). She also held the league's third-best batting average in 111 at-bats.
Fisher shined in Summit League play where she hit .356 with five homers and 14 RBI with a .733 slugging percentage in 14 games. Overall, she finished second on the team with 20 RBI and third in doubles (seven), homers (five) and batting average (.258).
Hacke made an impact for the Mavericks at the plate, in the field and the circle during her freshman campaign. She finished the regular season with a .319 average with five doubles and nine RBI. Hacke also pitched in 25 games (10 starts) with a 5-8 record with a 4.57 ERA and 47 strikeouts.
Omaha finished the 2018 regular season with a record of 18-29 (5-9 Summit League). The Mavericks make their third-straight appearance at the Summit League Softball Championship this week at the tournament's No. 5 seed, facing fourth-seeded South Dakota on Wednesday, May 9. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at the Ellig Sports Complex in Fargo, N.D.
