Mavericks Place 68 on Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence

ELMHURST, Ill. – Omaha Athletics placed 68 students on the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence for the 2017-18 academic year, the league announced today.
The Mavericks ranked fourth among the eight full-time members of the league. The achieve the honor, student-athletes must achieve a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average, have used one year of eligibility and previously completed one academic year at their school.
The Summit League also recognized Team Academic Achievement Awards in each sport based on the percentage of list-eligible student-athletes on the Commissioner's List. The Mavericks had a league-best six teams claim individual sport honors with men's golf, women's golf, women's soccer, softball, men's tennis and volleyball all earning the honor.
For the second straight year, women's golf placed all eligible members of its team on the list and was the only Summit League team in any sport to do so.
