Mavericks' Third Tournament Takes Them To Loyola

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team heads to suburban Chicago this week for the Loyola Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17-18.

The 54-hole event features 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. each day at the Flossmoor Country Club in Flossmoor, Ill. The Mavericks will be one of 12 teams in the tournament.

Jordan York has led the Mavericks in each of the first two tournaments they've played. Last week, she posted a season-low score of 224 to finish in a tie for 18th at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial at Missouri State.

The Mavericks finished 10th in the 15-team tournament.

Omaha's other scorers included Zora Gittens (233/T-45th place), Hannah Hunke (239/T-63rd), Samantha Chong (241/T-71st) and Mandy Boyle (244/75th).

Sami Langford played as an individual and shot 245.

The Mavericks will have a little more than a week off after Loyola before returning to action at the Diane Thomason Invitational at Iowa on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30.
