Mavericks Seventh At Loyola After First 36

FLOSSMOOR, Ill. – The Omaha women's golf team is in seventh place after the first day of play at the Loyola Fall Invitational.
The Mavericks carded team scores of 322 and 321 over the first two rounds of the 54-hole tournament, giving them a total score of 643 in the 12-team field. South Dakota leads the event after the first day with a score of 609. Drake is second at 623, and host Loyola holds third at 628.
Jordan York leads Omaha in scoring with rounds of 76 and 80 for a total of 156. She's tied for eighth in the 72-player field.
Hannah Hunke is right behind at 159 after shooting rounds of 81 and 78. She's tied for 15th. Zora Gittens is third on the team and tied for 32nd overall at 163, a score that includes rounds of 83 and 80.
Mandy Boyle is alone in 38th place. She shot 82 and 83 for a total of 165. Samantha Chong completed the scoring for UNO with a score of 167. She shot 84 and 83 and is tied for 41st.
Sami Langford, playing as an individual, is tied with Gittens for 32nd overall after shooting 79 and 84 for a total of 163.
The final round begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
