Baseball Plays Host To Creighton In Fall Exhibition

OMAHA, Neb. – Head coach Evan Porter announced Wednesday, Sept. 20, that the Omaha baseball program is set to play a fall exhibition game against Creighton Saturday, Oct. 6.
The game is set to take place at 1 p.m. at Seymour Smith Park and will be free to the public.
Recently, the Division I baseball committee adopted legislation to allow up to two fall exhibitions that do not count against a program's 56-game schedule.
"We are excited to compete against outside competition this fall and are looking forward to hosting Creighton at our home park," said Porter. "This will give our staff and team a great understanding on where we currently stand and provide insight on what we can improve upon during the remainder of our fall camp."

The Mavericks return 17 letterwinners from the previous season and welcome 15 newcomers to the 2019 roster.Â

By class, the new additions include one senior, seven juniors, one sophomore and six freshmen across nine different states and two countries.
