OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team will play its final event of the fall season when it tees up at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate hosted by Old Dominion on Sunday-Tuesday, Oct. 20-22.
The Mavericks will be one of 15 teams playing in the 54-hole event that features 18 holes each day. Play begins at 7:30 a.m. CT on Sunday and Monday and 7 a.m. CT on Tuesday from the Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, N.C.
The Mavericks are coming off a tie for sixth at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate at Arkansas State last Tuesday.
The Mavericks posted a team total of 891, tying them with Northern Iowa. UNO has posted seven consecutive rounds under 300.
Witchayapat Sinsrang shot an even-par 216 for the event. That helped him tie for ninth in the field of 74 golfers.
Phoomintr Kaewvichien was 35th overall with a score of 224, three strokes ahead of teammate Nick Kagy who posted a total of 227. He tied for 47th.
Josh Bartels and Josh Peters tied for fourth on the team and 50th overall with matching scores of 230.
Parker Waters, playing as an individual, had a final score of 247.
