Nine Mavericks Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. ā The Omaha softball program had nine players earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete status, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced on Thursday.

Additionally, the Mavericks are one of 140 programs to post a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2018-19 school year.

Representing Omaha on the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list is Hailey Bartz, Lexi Burchfield, Lexi Burkhardt, Emma Dargy, Savannah Fisher, Sierra Leonetti, Natalie Mostek, Sydney Schelkopf and Courtney Young.

To qualify for All-America status, a student-athlete had to finish the 2018-19 academic school year with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average or higher.
