OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team takes part in its third tournament of the fall when it competes in the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational in Erie, Colo. on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7-8.
The Mavericks are part of a 12-team field playing 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at the Colorado National Golf Club. Play begins at 9:15 a.m. CT each day.
The Mavericks tied for seventh at the Zach Johnson Invitational at Drake on Tuesday, their most recent tournament.
Nick Kagy led the Mavericks in scoring, finishing with a three-round total of 220. He finished in eighth place in the field of 75 golfers.
Witchayapat Sinsrang was second on the team and 18th overall with a score of 225. Freshman Josh Peters was two strokes behind at 227. Â
Josh Bartels tied for 55th with a score of 237, and Parker Waters completed the scoring with a score of 257.
After play in Colorado, the Mavericks will head south to play in the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate at Arkansas State on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 14-15, in Jonesboro, Ark.
