Westside Product Booth Inks NLI for 2020-21

OMAHA, Neb. -- Head coach Derrin Hansen announced Wednesday that Westside High School standout Jadin Booth has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Omaha men's basketball program in 2020-21.
"We're very excited to add Jadin Booth to our Maverick basketball family," Hansen said. "Not only does he have the character of what we're looking for in our program, he fits the way we play on both ends of the floor."
A 6-2, 175-pound guard, Booth has been a three-year starter under Coach Jim Simons. He was a second-team all-state selection in 2018-19 after averaging 19.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Booth became the first junior in Westside history to hit the 1,000 career points milestone, and his team finished 19-6 en route to a district championship and a state tournament appearance.
As a sophomore, Booth had 20.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest and shot 48.4% from long range to lead the state and set a single-season school record.
Booth also plays for Coach Andy King at Omaha Sports Academy. He plans to major in business and theology at UNO.
"Jadin can transition easily within our team, as he is a proven scorer and a hard-nosed defender," Hansen said. "We're looking forward to following his successful senior campaign and having him join us next summer."
