Track & Field Closes Regular Season at Nebraska Tune-Up

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha track and field program caps off the indoor regular season with the Nebraska Tune-Up Friday at 1 p.m.
The Mavericks travel to Lincoln for the second time as a team this season, with The Summit League Championships on the horizon.
Last time out, Stephanie Ahrens highlighted the Northwest Missouri State Invite on Feb. 9 with a new indoor school record of 6-0'.5" (1.84m) in the high jump, which bested her previous height of 5-10'.75" (1.80m). The senior also took home first-place in the event.
Also, Emily Johnson moved into third all-time in program history with a time of 17:38.12 in the 5000-meter run. Also, Anna Edet won the weight throw with a distance of 17.45 meters, while Lauren Houston won the 800 with a season-best time of 2:12.77.
The Summit League Championships are slated to take place Friday, Feb. 22 – Saturday, Feb. 23 with noon start times for both dates. For more information, visit omavs.com.
