Stephanie Ahrens claimed her second straight indoor title in her final Summit League meet.
Ahrens Claims Fifth High Jump Title at Summit League Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Senior Stephanie Ahrens won her second-straight Summit League Indoor High Jump title with a height of 5'8.50" Saturday afternoon, Feb. 23.
The senior's win gives her five Summit League High Jump titles from the combined indoor and outdoor seasons. With the win, Ahrens will now look ahead to cap off her career in Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday, March 9, at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
"Overall, we had some good individual performances," said head coach Chris Richardson. "A school record for Anna Edet [yesterday] and a win for Stephanie Ahrens. It was great for Steph to be able to cap off her Summit League run with another championship. Her and Coach Jill Sutton have been doing great things together and we're excited for her to be able to compete at the NCAA championships once again."
In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Scarlett Hill, Sophia Kirwan, Erinoelle Clifton and Lauren Houston ran a season-best time of 3:57.23 to finish seventh.
In the 800-meter finals, Lauren Houston finished seventh with a time of 2:15.25.
With the indoor season concluded, the Mavericks begin the outdoor season March 29-30 in Des Moines, Iowa at the Jim Duncan Invitational.
