Ahrens Sets Sights On NCAA Championships

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha track and field student-athlete Stephanie Ahrens makes the trip to Birmingham, Ala., to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships this Saturday, March 9, at 1 p.m. (CST) in the high jump.
Ahrens is coming off her second-consecutive Summit League High Jump title, which gave her five overall for her career through the indoor and outdoor seasons.
The senior looks to cap off her career with another strong performance at the NCAA Championships. During last season's outdoor championships, Ahrens became the program's first-ever non-hockey student-athlete to earn All-America honors after she tied for eighth with a mark of 5-10 (1.78). Ahrens also broker her own outdoor high jump school record of 6-0'.5" (1.84) at the Northwest Missouri State Invite earlier this season on Feb. 9.
As of now, Ahrens' personal indoor best ranks fifth in the country.
