OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team returns to action at the Grand Canyon Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16.
The 54-hole event features 36 holes on Friday and 18 on Saturday at the GCU Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz. Play begins at 10 a.m. CT both days.
The Mavericks last played on March 5, finishing 13th at the Sacramento State Invitational in Elk Grove, Calif.
Witchayapat Sinsrang led the Mavericks in scoring in that tournament and tied for 14th overall with a two-under score of 214. The final score was his third-lowest 54-hole score of the season.
Nick Kagy was second on the team with a score of 217, a career best, and tied for 21st overall. Thirawat Chantrakantanond finished at 221, good for a tie for 46th.
Cole Christain was fourth on the team and tied for 75th overall at 230. Jonah Wright finished the scoring for the Mavericks with a total of 242.
Following play at GCU, the Mavericks will have two weeks off before taking part in the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate at Arkansas State on Monday and Tuesday, April 1-2.
