OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team comes back from a two-week layoff to play in the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate at Arkansas State on Monday and Tuesday, April 1-2.

The tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 more on Tuesday at the RidgePoint Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark. The Mavericks will be one of 11 teams in the field.

The Mavericks last played on March 15-16 at the GCU Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz., finishing in a tie for 13th out of 18 teams with a score of 873.

Witchayapat Sinsrang led the Mavericks in scoring with a three-over total of 216. He finished in a tie for 37th in the field of 112 golfers from 18 teams.

Nick Kagy was second on the team and tied for 48th overall with a score of 217, four over par. Kagy was two strokes ahead of teammate Cole Christain who finished with a score of 219, tying him for 63rd.

Thirawat Chantrakantanond was fourth on the team and tied for 80th overall with a total of 223. Parker Waters completed the scoring for the Mavericks with a 54-hole total of 235.

Following play in Arkansas, the Mavericks will be back in action at the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate at Lipscomb on Monday and Tuesday, April 8-9.
