Bullock Named to NABC Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team

OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha men's basketball assistant coach Tyler Bullock has been named to the 2019 NABC Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced Tuesday.
The NABC's 30-Under-30 Team recognizes a group of up-and-coming young coaches each year in men's college basketball.
Bullock completed his third year as an assistant coach for the Mavericks in 2018-19. He previously served as an assistant coach at Southwestern Community College (2014-16) and Omaha's director of men's basketball operations (2012-14).
A native of Lincoln, Neb., Bullock was a two-year starter at UNO from 2009-11 and was an All-America honorable mention selection as a senior. He was also a two-time all-region pick and a two-time first-team All-MIAA honoree. Bullock was the fastest player in school history to reach the 1,000 career points milestone.
After earning his bachelor's degree in business from UNO in May 2011, Bullock played professionally for the Moncton Miracles of the National Basketball League of Canada and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Steamers of the Premier Basketball League.
"To see Coach Bullock grow as a person through his time with our program as a player, our director of operations and now as an assistant coach is very satisfying," head coach Derrin Hansen said. "Tyler has been able to absorb information and learn from the veteran coaches on our staff, then apply it in his role. His passion for developing student-athletes, along with his love for Omaha Basketball, makes him very deserving of this honor."
