Final Results

NEWTON, Kan. – The Omaha women's golf team came in eighth place at the Summit League Championship on Tuesday.

The Mavericks fired a final round tally of 319, their lowest of the 54-hole tournament, and put up a total of 977 at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club. Pre-season favorite Denver used a strong final round to win the championship with a total score of 904. Oral Roberts was the runner up with a total of 931, and South Dakota State took third at 934.

Zora Gittens led the Mavericks in scoring with a three-day total of 240. She shot 82 in the final round and finished in a tie for 18th in the field of 45 golfers.

Jordan York closed out her collegiate career with UNO's low round of the day, 77, to finish second on the team at 245. She tied for 26th.

York's fellow senior, Mandy Boyle, shot 80 in the final round to finish at 247 for the event, good for a tie for 33rd.

Sami Langford and Hannah Hunke tied for fourth on the team and tied for 42nd overall with matching scores of 255. Langford closed the tournament with a round of 80 while Hunke shot 85.
