Hahn, Barney Named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches released its 2018-19 NABC Honors Court Wednesday, and the list includes Omaha men's basketball student-athletes Mitch Hahn and Brett Barney, who excelled in the classroom last season. It marked the second straight Honors Court award for Hahn and the first for Barney.
Hahn compiled a 3.36 grade-point average and graduated with his bachelor's degree in business administration in May. The Fremont, Neb., product was a member of the Summit League Academic Honor Roll and the UNO Dean's List.
A native of Wichita, Kan., Barney graduated with his bachelor's degree in multidisciplinary studies in May and carried a 3.81 GPA. Barney was a member of the UNO Dean's List.
In order to be named to the annual Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, hold a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher and have matriculated at least one year at his current institution.
