Round 2 Results

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Omaha women's golf team moved up one spot after the second round of the Kiawah Island Classic hosted by College of Charleston.

The Mavericks are in 47th place in the huge 53-team tournament, firing a team score of 316 for a total of 651. Their second-round score was a 19-stroke improvement from their first round.

Zora Gittens and Mandi Granato each shot scores of 79 in round two and sit 1-2 in team scoring with totals of 158 and 160, respectively. Gittens is tied for 151st while Granato is tied for 175th.

Hannah Hunke had Omaha's low round of the day, a four-over score of 76, to put her at 164 for 36 holes, good for a tie for 210th.

Samantha Chong was fourth on the team and tied for 242nd overall with a total of 171 that included a card of 84 in round two.

Izzi Puk finished the team scoring, shooting 82 for a total of 174.

The final round begins at 7:30 a.m. CT from the Osprey Point Golf Club.
