Pulkkinen Signs Pro Deal in Finland

MIKKELI, Finland – Omaha forward Teemu Pulkkinen is the first Maverick senior to sign a professional contract.
The native of Espoo, Finland signed a two-year professional contract with Jukurit in the Finnish Elite League on March 23. He will join his new team for the 2020-21 season.
Pulkkinen recently completed his career with the Mavericks. In 130 games over four seasons, he scored 22 goals and had 31 assists for 53 points. As a senior, he was tied for fifth in team scoring with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 33 games. The assist and point totals were career highs.
Last season, Pulkkinen tied a school record by registering four assists in an 8-4 win over Arizona State on Dec. 22.
Pulkkinen was a two-time member of the NCHC Academic All-Conference Team, earning the honor in his junior and senior seasons.
